The Challenge
Small Bengali retailers (like family shops) need inventory and billing software that works without a reliable internet connection. Cloud-only solutions fail during outages; desktop software is expensive and hard to maintain.
The Solution
A PWA with IndexedDB for local-first storage. Sales, inventory, and products are stored locally and sync when connectivity is restored. Receipt printing uses the browser print API — no external dependencies.

The original design used Prisma + SQLite which broke on Vercel (read-only filesystem). Learned that serverless platforms require either an external database or a client-side storage solution. Migrated to IndexedDB + Service Worker — which actually improved the offline experience significantly.
